  1. Use autopilot with the auto height setting to gradually take you down to the required height. take it as low as possible then disengage it at the last moment to land the plane.

  2. What you want to do is called autolanding, and none of the default aircraft provided with FS2004 are capable of doing it (even though some of those aircraft can do it in real life).

If you want to do autolands in FS2004, you need to install add-on aircraft that are equipped for it.  The best of these are payware, and come from companies like Level-D Simulations or PMDG.  They can autoland just like the real thing.

Without autoland, approach mode will just send you down towards the runway, but you must still land by hand.

  3. are u reall trying to learn to fly by asking here??? try a flight school

  4. Its called CAT III, you can alternatively use ILS  (Instrument Landing System), it enables you to position & do an almost perfect line up to the runway however you will have to do the decent and flare.

For CAT III you will need to purchase gauges for fs2004.

    Good Luck & Have fun..
