Chinedu Ede has finally quelled rumours about his whereabouts by signing a four-year contract to move up to the German top-flight with Die Nullfunfer outfit.
The deal stalled at first when the German footballer was expected to join Mainz from the second-tier club Union http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 due to fee agreement issues, but now the transfer has been agreed on £1 million fee. The manager of the German
side was occupied the whole summer in the transfer market.
The coach was delighted with the 25-year-old signing and is a huge admirer of the midfielder’s technical abilities. The player just needs some consistency in his game play according to the club’s tactician and has promised to help
the youngster in correcting the flaws in his game and making him a complete player.
"We are delighted to have signed Chinedu. He has an exceptional technique. He is not yet that consistent in his performances, and so on, but we will be teaching him all he is missing,” Mainz chief Christian Heidel was quoted as
saying in an interview.
Mainz were able to sign the talented winger after off-loading Tunisian striker Sami Allagui and the experienced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Malik-Fathi-c23270. Allagui agreed a four-year contract with Hertha Berlin for a fee of £1.5 m. He scored
14 goals in 47 matches in his time at the club.
On the other hand, Fathi has signed for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kayserispor-c39685 on a season long loan deal with the option of making the switch permanent. The Turkish club agreed a fee of £130k for the first campaign with an added choice to pay £350k to retain
the player of the Turkish descent.
This transfer happened on the request of the defender himself when he asked the permission to be released from the Coface Arena and the arrangements were made in respect to that request.
"Fathi had asked us to be allowed to move away from the club. We have found the necessary agreements with Kayserispor regarding the loan deal and wish him all the best," Heidel finally concluded.
Mainz hope Fathi will do well for his new side. The 28-year-old played 47 games for the Bundesliga outfit.
