FUNDRAISING For YOUTH GROUP!!!?

hey... we are looking for ways to raise money to go on our mission trip... now we are looking for ideas, and we are doing the basics (car wash, bake sale, etc.), but its taking FOREVER.... got any ideas on what we can do

We sell rose bushes door to door for mothers day. You can get them super cheap through a local nursery (around 1.50 each) and well sell them for 10 dollars each. It's amazing how fast the flowers sell!! Good Luck fundraising!!!!

have an auction for the youth kid's service... thats what we did one year

we called it the "agape banquet"... we had a list of things of who's capable of doing what and their service... raised a good amount of money

i'm sure there are people who are lookin for manual labor help

maybe put on a dance or disco, charge a few dollars a head maybe sell glowsticks and party type things as well? have a carnival day gold coin entry? but ask if the vendors would donate their services. one thing i've seen is a fire truck put foam bubbles in their hoses and spray it everywhere and the kids ran around in the giant mountain of foam. hope these ideas help.

put a conncert together.

Get a whole bunch of people to perform at a cheap location e.g. church and charge people like 10 dollars to get in or something but let them know its a fundraiser

See if you can deliver phone books. My youth group did that and we made over 600 dollars in two weeks.

hold a chinese auction

you collect empty coffee cans and baskets (anything that holds tickets)

gather auction items- better than yard sale junk- nothing you pay for. just stuff you have at home or that's donated

line things up on tables, put a ticket container near each item

sell tickets at the door. they keep 1 ticket and dump the other in the bucket of the item they want to win.

draw #s and let the winners collect their prizes

you can sell 50/50s too. half the money taken in for selling tickets goes to the winner. you keep the rest.

you can even auction youth members for a day of work to the highest bidder.

weeding, lawn care, car washing, dog washing etc

hold a yard sale too!
