Fabian Ginger wins the third stage of the Langkawi International, Lea Davison wins the women category

Fabian Ginger of Team Rabobank-Giant Offroad wins the third stage of the Langkawi International MTB Challenge 2012 after his storming performance during the 45 kilometre event.
He took a total time of 2 hours, 10 minutes and 14 seconds and occupied the top podium position, leaving his major opponents behind.
"It was a very tough course with the heat, rain and all. It is quite short but slippery and full of challenges ,But I like it,” Ginger noted after the race.
“I will continue to focus for Stage 3 as I expect my rivals to go on the attacking mode tomorrow".
Karl Platt of Team Bulls finished also rode brilliantly and looked good throughout the race but had to settle for the second position as he fell 15 short of his Swiss competitor.
"It is still early days. I will keep fighting as long as I should. The race is far from over," said the German.
Emil Lindgren of Team Rabobank-Giant Offroad Team, Max Knox of Team Specialized and Kristian Hynek of Team Ceska Sporitelna Specialized occupied the third, fourth and the fifth positions in the respective order.
Lea Davison of Team Specialized succeeded at the women’s category of the race after she managed to register a convincing victory at the race.
The American took a total time of 2 hours, 44 minutes and 2 second to occupy the top podium position with Elisabeth Sveum of Team Norway finishing 4 minute and 19 second behind at the second position.
"This stage has it all - the big climb, jungle and gloomy weather. The track was just awesome and at one stage, I heard a loud thumping sound and I thought it was a bomb,” said the 29-year-old American lass.
Slovakian rider Janka Stevkova finished third with Blaza Klemencic of Team Felt Otztal X-Bionic and Nathalie Schneitter of Team Colnago Sudtirol securing the fourth and the fifth positions respectively.
Fabian Ginger is now comfortable place at the top overall position, after the Langkawi International MTB Challenge stage 2 Men General classifications with a healthy lead of over 2 minutes.
Lea Davison leads the Women general classifications with a margin of 6 minute and 41 seconds over Elisabeth Sveum of Team Norway.
