The AS Roma prodigy has acknowledged that he was pleasantly surprised with his inclusion in the Italy squad; and reflected on Giallorossi coach’s influence on him.

“It was curious turning up to the hotel with the Under-21 side on Sunday night and then the morning after immediately setting off for Genoa so I could join the senior team.”
