The former Turin manager predicts a two-horse race for Scudetto, and also foresees bright future for the AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 project
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello, has branded Juventus as favourites for the Scudetto, and backs AS Roma’s new project.
Capello, who has managed the Turin giants for two years, believes that his former employers have the quality required to win the Scudetto. The Three Lions tactician insisted that the Scudetto is a two-horse race between Juve and
Milan, as these two teams have been playing consistently throughout the season.
The manager hailed the Old Lady’s team spirit and believes that the squad is united. On the other hand, the 65-year-old believes that the Rossoneri have some quality players at their disposal.
Ibrahimovic was shown a straight red-card in Milan’s 0-0 against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 on Sunday, February 5, and Capello believes that the Swede’s absence will hand Antonio’s men a huge advantage.
While talking to RAI 1 television, Capello said,
“Juventus and Milan remain the favourites for the title. Juve do not just have grit, but also remarkable team spirit. Milan possesses greater class, but without http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 they could really lose something. This is why I
say Juventus are the favourites.”
The former Real Madrid boss then reflected on AS Roma’s new project, and believes that it is very exciting. The Italian is predicting big things from the Giallorossi in the future, but he has urged the fans to remain patient. However,
he believes that Luis Enrique needs to strengthen the defence.
“Roma deserve faith, as there are always risks when there is a new project, but with hard work and good fortune you can go far. The Giallorossi still have defensive problems, though. I don’t know anything about reported links with
Roma, even though I have an excellent rapport with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Baldini.”
After a slow start to the season, the capital side has started to find its form, having picked up 34 points from 21 matches played thus far. Their recent game ended in their 4-0 win over former Italian Champions, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, at
Stadio Olimpico Rome on Sunday, February 5.
