http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 was key to their memorable win at Wembley, however, the England national team will now have to show more attacking intent when they welcome Sweden on Tuesday night.
Capello was very pleased with his team’s performance in the last friendly match and has urged his players not to get carried when they face a comparatively less daunting opposition.
The Italian boss believes that a team is more motivated and tries to give its best when being considered underdogs. However, the former AC Milan boss believes that the real test for England lies against an opposition which is not superior to them.
The Three Lions manager said, "When you think the opponents are better than you, then you have to play at the top. But what is difficult is when you play a team and you think you are better than them. Then you really need to play at the top level.”
England have not defeated Sweden since 1968, and Capello has stressed that the Three Lions will have to give their best in order to emerge victors at Wembley Stadium.
The national team manager believes that it will not be an easy task for England and added:
"Against Sweden, it will be really difficult. Also, now, after we have beaten Spain, they will come here thinking we are good, so they know they will have to play better – and so will we.”
“This is the next step, the really important one we have to take if we want to go forward and improve,” Fabio Capello concluded.
England are expected to make wholesome changes to their starting eleven. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joleon-Lescott-c18941.
