Fabio Capello comes under fire from Peter Kay after criticizing Joey Barton – International Football
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello has come under fire from Peter Kay the Sporting Chance Clinic chief executive after the English national team manager branded Barton as dangerous following his fallout with Newcastle United. The English midfielder
has been a constant source of controversy in the English Premier League of late as he has been blunt in his remarks to say the least. He recently came out through twitter and criticized Newcastle United’s transfer policy as the club decided to part ways with
their captain Kevin Nolan by selling him to the championship club side, West Ham United.
Barton who voiced his disapproval over Nolan’s transfer has since then been told by the club that he is no longer wanted at Saint James’ Park. The veteran midfielder has been a hot transfer target since Newcastle United’s admission
as Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both interested in signing him. However Capello has come out and damaged Barton’s chances of making it big in the Premier League as well as the international arena by branding him as dangerous.
No doubt, Barton has in the past let himself down through some of his actions but Peter Kay came out recently and confirmed that Joey was not an inconsiderate person anymore. Kay was responsible for Barton’s recovery from his
alcohol addiction and is a known friend of the former Manchester City midfielder.
Peter said in his latest interview that what Capello said didn’t make him angry because the Italian tactician might’ve been suffering from a lack of knowledge of English language. He went onto criticize the English national team
manager by stating that “I would suggest the art of management is not about picking a 4-4-2 or 5-4-1 formation or whatever it might be but it’s about getting to know your flaming players”
He further suggested that Capello should pay more attention to doing his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 properly and the English national team manager should perhaps get to know Barton properly before branding him as dangerous. Barton’s history of violence
and drinking troubles make it hard for people to look beyond his erroneous gestures but in reality the midfielder is quite a talented footballer. If Barton indeed secures a move to Tottenham or http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, his career can perhaps stroll forward in the right direction.
First team football with a renowned club in the English Premier League might also change Barton’s image in the eyes of Fabio Capello and thus bring him into selection contention for the upcoming European Championships in 2012 in
