Real Madrid bought Fabio Coentrao in the summer to play as a full back. However, he rarely makes any appearances for the Spanish club as a full back. last season.
Even with Fabio Coentrao as an option for Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid have opted for Marcelo in the left back position. With Jose Mourinho in charge, Coentrao plays as a holding midfielder for La Liga giants.
Sami Khedira was out injured a few weeks back and Coentrao managed to take his position in the midfield. The Portuguese star is now Jose Mourinho’s utility-man as he is able to perform in any of the defensive positions.
Coentrao picked up an injury before but made a return in the win against Real Betis. Real Madrid won the game but Coentrao picked up another injury and the Portuguese star was benched again for the game against Malaga which Madrid won 4-0.
The former Benfica player was expected to return in two weeks time but he managed to make a speedy recovery and now he will be available for Jose Mourinho as his side faces a tough task in the shape of Villarreal.
Even though Coentrao is back to perform for Real Madrid, he might not start for Los Blancos. Marcelo is expected to start the game in the left back position while Sami Khedira’s extraordinary form will keep him in the starting line-up.
Madrid’s injury crises are now coming to a close as Fabio Coentrao will be available to Mourinho. However, the Spanish Giants are still missing out on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-Carvalho-c30973, who are still suffering with their respective injuries.
The match against Villarreal is going to take place at Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday as La Liga action kicks off in the midweek.
