Fabio Quagliarella keen to welcome Giuseppe Rossi at Juventus – Serie A Update
Juventus FC striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-Quagliarella-c13194 is looking forward to play alongside Giuseppe Rossi and is not worried about his future at Turin. Rossi is the top target of Juve in the ongoing transfer market and it is expected that the Italians will be able to convince
the Spanish outfit http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Villarreal-CF-c40899 to complete a deal for the striker.
Quagliarella joined La Vecchia Signora last year in August from SSC Napoli on a season-long loan deal. The prolific striker had been a consistent performer with his former outfit Udinese and also with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.
He made an excellent start to life in Turin, however, a serious knee ligament injury restricted the player to just 17 games during the 2010/11 season, where he scored a decent 9 goals. Despite the setback, Juve officials recognized his potential and the
striker was permanently signed last month for a reported fee of 10.5 million Euros.
However, the new Juve head coach Antonio Conte has been keen to revamp the squad and there have already been great additions to the outfit with ambitions to make a comeback in the Italian top flight. The Bianconeri are now tracking attacking options and
are chasing the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giuseppe-Rossi-c15027, with the latter being the priority.
The arrival of a new striker at Turin might be a problem for Quagliarella as there is already a lot of competition in the form of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vincenzo-Iaquinta-c36199. However, the striker is confident that his future at
Turin is safe and he is ready to welcome Rossi.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, the striker explained the scenario and said:
"Arrival of a top player in attack like Rossi? I am at Juventus and it is normal that there are champions who will arrive here. If Rossi comes then we will welcome him with open arms."
Although Quagliarella is not worried by new signings by the Bianconeri, still he believes that there is no need to acquire another striker as the striking options at Turin are already good enough.
"Until January last season, we were the top scorers in the league, and so we are not light-weight up front," concluded the striker.
Juve have allocated huge amounts for the ongoing transfer window and are keen on making a comeback in the Serie A, while European domination remains a perennial dream.
