Fabiola Molina clinches Women’s 100m back-stroke title: Day six – 2011 Jose Finkel Trophy
Day six of the 2011 Jose Finkel Trophy ended with the scintillating swim of Brazilian swimmer, Fabiola Molina in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on Sunday, September 4. The session of the meet conducted the Women’s 100m back-stroke final.
In the corresponding splash, Molina came out strongly and notched the gold medal on the podium by posting a winning time of 1 minute and 01.33 seconds. After the splash, Molina was really pleased with her individual swim in the final meet.
In the corresponding race, Natalia Diniz took home the silver medal on the podium by submitting an impressive time of 1 minute and 03.12 seconds, while Fernanda Alvarenga earned bronze medal with a matchless time of 1 minute and 03.49 seconds. Medeiros Etiene
earned fourth place honours with an impressive mark of 1 minute and 03.64 seconds.
Garcia Masulino Laura rounded out the top five in a time of 1 minute and 04.85 seconds, whereas, Quirino Thatiane settled sixth with a time of 1 minute and 05.85 seconds. Bretanha Bianca Rebeca earned seventh place honours in a time of 1 minute and 06.09
seconds. Last, but not the least, Borges Cavalcanti Thalandra was placed eighth in a time of 1 minute and 06.45 seconds.
Then, the Men’s 100m back-stroke title was taken over by Gabriel Mangabeira of Brazil with a winning time of 55.48 seconds. In the corresponding swim, Fernando Pires took home the silver medal with an impressive mark of 5.75 and Leonardo Guedes captured
the bronze medal on the podium by posting an immaculate time of 56.06 seconds.
Orzechowski Daniel was placed fourth in a time of 56.12 seconds, while Lisonda Santi Arikawa Fabio earned fifth place honours with a matchless mark of 56.50 seconds. Correios Guido Augusto Guilherme wound up sixth in a time of 56.52 seconds, whereas, Correios
Deus De Leonardo was placed seventh in a time of 56.82 seconds. FIM Santos Alves Leonardo settled eighth in a time of 57.68 seconds.
The arena applauded for the scintillating performances of all swimmers, while the winners were honoured with accolades after the session’s completion.
