Fable The Lost Chapters on Xbox 360 error code "X: 5829.0 B: 1884.0"?

Question

I'm trying to play fable the lost chapters on my Xbox 360, but a message comes up and says, "The original Xbox game has encountered a problem and can't continue." There is a code at the bottom of that message and it is "X: 5829.0 B:1884.0" I don't know what is wrong. The disc is brand new, and has no scratches. If anybody has any information they can tell me, it would be greatly appreciated. I've gone to the xbox website, and i have called their 1-800 number, but none of those seem to give me any help.

did you download the patch to play it? also the game as well as quite a few other backwards compatible games runs like c**p on the 360. you are better of playing in on the original xbox. it's really good game.

Yeah you're screwed.  You're going to need to get the disc replacement off the microsoft website, or contact 18004MYXBOX and inform them of the problem.  If they can't understand you (and they often cannot), ask for someone in your country of origin to speak to.

This is a very commonly confused problem.  People usually think that it's the disc.  This is not the case.  The problem actually lies in the original update you received in order to play that XBOX original title.  It doesn't recognize the title, and so you get that message.  Chances are, the fine folks at Microsoft's Malaysian branch can tell you how to clear your cache and fix the issue.
