Fable Won't Work!!!!!!?

Hey guys i got Fable: The Lost Chapters yesterday and i installed it on my Dell XPS M1710 Gaming laptop and it installed with no trouble and everthing was running fine then when i went to play on it my mouse was frozen it the top left-hand corner of the screen so i restarted my comp and it fixed it but now whenever i start the game (as in actually get to the starting cutscene) as it's loading it starts flashing the loading screen on my screen then when the guy starts talking i just get a black screen and i can hear movement when i press WASD and hear punching sounds when i click but my screen is still black!

What do i do to fix this? Is there a update or something i can download from the site or somewhere to prevent this?

My laptop has Vista installed but i heared there was a patch to let it run on vista.

FABLE WONT RUN ON VISTA WHATEVER YOU DO!!!!!!!!

Had the same problem with my vista laptop while back, it will not work no matter what you do!

It's just not compatible.

The patch makes the first part up untill the burning of the village work, then it stops, back to the black screen again.
