Question:

Fabled implantation? Chart included, please stock?!?

Hey everyone,

So. I had my temps drop suddenly, but they didn't drop below the coverline, so I didn't know if that could be considered the infamous "implantation dip" or not. I thought they'd either go up today or drop even more, but confused me by staying the same! Random!

So what do you think? The day I had the huge spike in temp, I was really sick, so I think that had something to do with it being so high.

I normally have a 28 day cycle, but with my O being 4 days late due to stress at work, I'm sure AF will be 4 days "late". Of course I'm hoping she doesn't come see me at all! Lol!

Any thoughts?

  1. Hi, I dont think you have an implantation dip, from what I have read not everyone gets these so dont watch out for this as a rule all the time. You seem to have ovulated, but I think the high temp you refer to is an out of the norm temp so should not be counted (you may have been ill).

Therefore the temps you are at now seem correct..

From what I have read now, and from what fertilityfriend is telling me not everyone has the above 97.7 chart post ovulation. As long as you peak after ovulation and sustain a higher temp then it looks like you have a pretty normal cycle. This cycle I did not peak above 97.7 but looks like for this cycle for me thats fine..

    Goof luck, baby dust...

  2. Implantation dip, in the rare cases where it happens, only lasts for one day. So it's certainly not that. However, your chart looks perfectly fine to me. Hang in there!!!

  3. If the only reason your temp was so high a few days ago was because you were sick, then you should really ignore that temp.  This is one of the reasons charting drives me crazy sometimes-and I'm an avid charter myself.  During the two week wait, we tend to read into every little temperature and really we're looking at an overall pattern to the temps.  You'll just have to wait to find out what it means.  But I do agree with what you said.  Your period will come four days later than usual because of the delayed ovulation.  Good luck!
