Cesc Fabregas back inside two weeks
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas says he expects to be fully fit and playing within the next two weeks.
Fabregas picked up a hamstring strain during the 1-1 draw with Sunderland last weekend. He was taken off before the half an hour mark and initial fears were that he could be out for more than a month.
Fabregas said: "Good news on my injury.
I have some fluid but nothing bad in the muscle. I hope I can be playing in two weeks."
This is superb news for Arsenal as the club will be hoping to continue the good start the side has made to the Premier League season. Fabregas will also be a vital component
of Arsenal's Champions League campaign.
Good start
Arsenal has made a very good start to the Premier League season. The club sits second behind Chelsea and ahead of Manchester United on goal difference.
Fabregas is the best player in the club and a key component of how Arsenal plays football. He creates a number of chances in every game and gets into good attacking positions.
The performance of the team may have dipped if Fabregas had been kept out of the team for longer than two weeks.
There will be a general lift around the Arsenal dressing room at the news. Fabregas is a popular person at Arsenal and his teammates should be lifted by the fact he won't
be out of action for long. This should keep the team playing well.
The club has a very good replacement in Tomas Rosicky who will come into the team over the next 14 days. However, Rosicky has not had a massive amount of game time this
season and Fabregas will re-take his place as soon as possible.
Betting advice
There is no doubt Fabregas makes Arsenal a much better team. Back the club to win any match where Fabregas plays. Bet in play while he isn't in the team but there's little
reason to change basic betting patterns with Arsenal. The club is still a great bet to win the Premier League this season.
