Fabregas expects to be fit in two weeks, Arsenal take on Spurs

Talismanic Arsenal skipper, Cesc Fabregas, is expected to be out for two weeks after he sustained an injury in Arsenal’s last league game against Sunderland at the stadium of Light.
But last night Fabregas posted on his twitter that he is well on his way to recovery and will be back to full match fitness in two weeks.
The Spaniard suffered the injury as he netted Arsenal’s solitary goal in the match when Anton Fedinand’s clearance was blocked by the midfielder and the ball looped over the goal keeper into the back of the net.  
The Arsenal midfielder wrote on his twitter account “I have some fluid but nothing bad in the muscle. I hope I can be playing in two weeks."
Arsenla have a long injury list with Theo Walcott, Robin Van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner and Samir Nasri all sidelined with various niggles. The loss of another key player comes at totally the wrong time for Wenger as he is preparing his troops for a key clash
against Tottenham Hotspurs on Tuesday in the Premier League.
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has challenged his troops to rise to the occasion and come up with the goods against a team that is threatening to break the monotony of the big four in the EPL.
Wenger is facing a possible touchline ban in the match after being charged by the FA for misconduct following his misdemeanours at the end of Arsenal’s last match.
 With a depleted squad available Wenger is likely to feature goal keeper Lukas Fabianski, Johan Djourou, defender Kieron Gibbs, and Mexican teen prodigy Carlos Vela after having been unused substitutes in the game at the Stadium of Light at the weekend.
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Henri Lansbury. Benik Afobe, and Chuks Aneke are also likely to play some part in the match and are speculated to at least grace the bench on Tuesday.
The London derby is expected to be a high octane encounter between the two city rivals and Wenger is expecting his youngsters to come out with a statement of intent.
After letting three points slip through his grasp at the weekend Arsenal will surely be looking to make amends in the game and Spurs are not a team they would have preferred at such a time in the campaign.
Wenger is hopeful that his troops will bounce back from the set back in emphatic fashion and will easily get past through the challenge posed by Spurs.
Spurs on the other hand are buoyed by their magnificent start to the season and a win against Arsenal on Tuesday will surely go a long way in establishing their credentials in the Premier League.
Harry Redknap is aware of the stiff test that his team faces tonight but he is confident that his troops can deliver the goods tonight.
Although this being a clash in the early stages of the Carling Cup but a victory over their fierce rivals will do no harm to wither manager.
White Hat Lane will be full to its capacity tonight for the first Cup game of the season and Wenger’s troops are in for a hostile welcome at the stadium.
Going into the game Tottenham’s form has not been the greatest as they have won three drawn 2 and lost one of their last six games while Arsenal have won four drawn one and lost one game going into this game. The four wins for Arsenal include two six nil
drubbings against Blackpool in the Premier League and more recently against the Champions League debutants Braga in the Europe Premier football competition.
The match starts tonight at 1945 British Summer Time.
