The midfielder has taken out time to outline the factors that have always drawn him towards the Catalan capital throughout his career.
Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas has expressed that his side have a number of positive aspects which set them apart from all other footballing sides in the world. He stressed that the Catalan giants are much more than just talented athletes, as it is their desire
to win that helps them succeed on the pitch.
He maintained that a team needs to put in a great amount of effort in order to achieve great things in the beautiful game. Along with this, he asserted that La Blaugrana are representatives of this spirit and are a team that appreciate the majesty of football.
While voicing his appreciation for his current club, Fabregas also looked back at his previous club, Arsenal, and revealed that watching Barca players excel made him envious and kindled his desire to return to his boyhood club.
"This is a very competitive team. It’s much more than the talent that’s here, it’s the desire and effort that’s put into each game," the 25-year-old was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"When I played for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 I could see it, and I wanted to experience that. It’s magnificent to be able to be on the pitch with these players."
The technically gifted midfielder joined the Nou Camp outfit in the summer of 2011 after an extended transfer saga. After being brought to Catalonia, Cesc expressed his jeer jubilation and stated that it was a dream-come-true for him.
Moreover, the player has also managed to make himself an important part of the Azulgrana squad. However, he recently had difficulty in keeping away from the tabloids as his tendency to make issues out of nothing got the better of him once again.
Continuing the discussion, the Spaniard also shed light over Barca’s 3-0 victory over Alaves in the Copa del Rey.
"We knew that if we didn’t start out strong the game could have become a bit complicated, the team put in a great performance."
