The Spanish international has maintained his habit of singing his childhood club’s praises as he voiced admiration for the Catalans once again.
Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas has expressed that he is satisfied with the way things have unfolded for him in the first season with La Blaugrana.
The former Gunners player insisted that he is content with what he has achieved at the Catalan capital so far, claiming that his performance for the Spanish giants has exceeded expectations.
The 25-year-old emphasized his delight at being able to represent one of the most prominent clubs in the world. He went on appreciating the knowledge he has gained ever since he joined the Nou Camp outfit.
Fabregas stated that Barca are a great club and stressed that they are known to be one of the greatest clubs of all time.
This is definitely not the first time that the former Arsenal skipper has expressed his delight at being a Barca player; in fact, the player has been making such statements ever since he was signed by the current UEFA Champions League title holders.
It seems almost as though the midfielder considers it a duty to remind everyone about how happy he is at finally returning to his childhood club.
Fabregas is a worthy graduate of Barca’s youth academy La Masia. However, the player joined English Premier League side, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, after he was offered a contract by Arsene Wenger’s men when he was 16.
While talking to reporters, the World Cup winner was quoted as saying:
"The truth is I am very happy with how I've done. It is true that it all started very well, but the feeling I have looking at the overall season remains very positive. I played a lot more than people and I expected. It's a bit surprising that some were saying,
'look, he does not play', since I knew that I was coming into the best team ever.”
"So, I sincerely believe that my first season has been good, although, inwardly, I'm the first to acknowledge that I can give more.”
