Fabregas responds to Balotelli’s snub of Wilshere
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has come to the defence of his team-mate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463, following Mario Balotelli’s recent comments that he doesn’t even know who the England international is.
The Manchester City striker was recently awarded the prestigious Golden Boy trophy, which honours the best player in Europe under 21 years of age. Speaking after the ceremony, the Italian striker declared that he was better than previous winners of the tournament,
and claimed he had not even heard of this year’s runner up, Arsenal’s Jack Wilshire.
Mario Balotelli said, “What's his name? Wil...? No, I just don't know him, but the next time I play against Arsenal I'll try to be careful. Maybe I could show him the Golden Boy trophy and remind him that I won.”
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has responded to Balotelli’s comments, telling Wilshire to pay no heed to the troubled Italian. Fabregas wrote on his twitter page, “Don't worry (Jack). We know who you are and that's what matters most. You play week in week
out and that's the most important, trust me."

The talented midfielder has recently been called up to the senior England team, as well as the under 21 national side. His stellar performances have garnered much praise,
ensuring his nomination for the Golden Boy award. However, the young Arsenal midfielder was edged out by Manchester City striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937, meaning that Wilshire finished as runner-up for the award.
Jack Wilshire has been with Arsenal for the entirety of his career, joining their academy in 2001 at the age of nine. Due to his talent, the midfielder rose quickly through the ranks. Wilshire was given a place in Arsenal’s first team squad for the 2008-09
season and was given the number 19 shirt, which he still retains. The youngster has repeatedly impressed over the past few seasons, and is becoming a regular name in the starting eleven for Arsenal.
