Cesc Fabregas wants Josep Guardiola to stay in charge of the Catalan club in the coming years.
Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 skipper has revealed that he is currently having a blast with the Spanish Champions and considers himself lucky to be able to play at the Catalan club.
Fabregas, who is a graduate of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s youth academy, expressed the desire to return to Barcelona while he was a part of the North London club, Arsenal. Consequently, he was jubilant when he was finally signed back by his boyhood club in the summer.
Fabregas did not take much time to settle in Barcelona’s regular line-up after signing for them.
Currently, the Spanish international is enjoying remarkable form with the current Champions League title holders, and he has expressed that his great form is due to the Barca manager, Josep Guardiola.
He was elated at the amount of learning he has undergone while playing under Josep Guardiola and emphasized that he owes his performance to him.
While talking to Marca, the former Arsenal skipper was quoted as saying:
"My dream has been to be a Barca player since childhood, but now if you want to play here it is for Pep, because he knows how to get the best out of players. What I have learned here in these months is unbelievable.
"I'm enjoying the game as much as I ever have, and it shows that there are always things in this world of football that you never think of,” he added.
Furthermore, Fabregas stressed that Guardiola’s role as manager at Barcelona has been integral and no one else could fit in his shoes. He stressed the importance of Guardiola and expressed how he wants him to stay in charge of the club.
"It would be very important for the club for him to stay for as many more years as possible. The players perform well, but it is he who operates the machinery,” he stated.
So far, the Spanish international has provided the team with eight goals and five assists in the Spanish Primera.
