  1. No you could stain your clothes

  2. It will leave spots that look like grease stains if applied directly to the clothes.  If you get them, rub corn starch or baking soda on them and leave the garment for a while, then wash with regular dish detergent.

You can use fabric softener or items you hand wash, just rinse the item then re-fill your sink/tub with water and add the softener to the water and swish the water around before you add your clothes to avoid the staining.

  3. no, if you do that, the softner could stain the clothes, leaving blue/green spots everywhere.  it will wash out next time you wash it though.  if your washer doesn't have a softner dispenser, try using the "downey ball" or wait until the washer is on its "rinse" cycle to manually add the softner.

  4. yes you can put in wash water but your suppose to put in final rinse cycle.

  5. the first 2 are right - it will stain and NOT wash out.  In rinse cycle wait til washer is full (with water) then add softener

  6. nope the fabric  softener is only for putting in the middle of your washer and gets sucked into the pipe later its doesnt touch the clothes
