Fabulous Emotion and Catherines Jewel active in the Grade A4 480 metres flat race
Making room for winning the Grade A4 480 metres flat is the fifth trap for the race, Catherines Jewel. She is backed by 11 to 2 odds and will be confronted by, Fabulous Emotion, Onthedancefloor, Shilohs Memory, Autumn Impact and Head Iton Levy. The race
will be held at Perry Barr over 480 metres flat on Tuesday, 1st January, 2013. The prize money set for the race is £55.
After four training sessions, the two-year-old black and white b***h was entrusted with Grade A6 and she did not disappoint the connections.
Catherines Jewel sped out from the fourth trap and set into an early pace. Pulling the pace up in the middle and then leading the first bend she had the race nailed in 29.85 seconds. Qualifying as the runner-up after missing the winner’s crown by a length
was, Smooth Jimmy.
Another hopeful for the race is the three-year-old b***h, Fabulous Emotion, trained by, J. M. Smith.
The last time that she captured the winner’s prize money was in a Grade A5 480 metres flat race on 8th December, 2012 at Perry Barr. Breaking in the red jacket of the first trap she was quick to set herself at a distance from the rest of the competition.
Staying by the rail and then taking the middle of the track had her finishing smartly in 28.93 seconds. She defeated the favourite entry, Wellesley Fleck, by 1 ¼ lengths.
After a third position on 14th December, 2012, all she could manage were two second scores and is backed by 3 to 1 odds for succeeding in the race tonight.
The J. H. Smith trained qualified as the runner-up in a Grade A4 contest over 480 metres flat on 18th December.
Her slow break that was followed by getting crowded in the third bend cost her the race that was won by, Proud Dodge, in 29.36 seconds.
She then retained the second position in another Grade A4 over 480 metres flat on 26th December, 2012 at Perry Barr. Even the first trap could not help her because of the weak break and the blunder in the third bend.
