I'm looking for some face paint for a Joker costume from The Dark Knight. Does anyone know what the safest, hypo-allergenic face paint is? And where I can get it? Thanks in advance :)

  1. don't be such a fanboy t**t!

  2. For specific brands, try google-ing it. Any shopping website.

More generally, I'd say go for a grease based face paint. That gives you the 'old school' or 'classic' clown painted face look- smooth coverage and it lasts well (also used in theater). And then you can weather it to get the look employed by Heath Ledger in TDK. With time and heat/sweat it'll work into the grooves of the face, etc.

Also, remember that paying attention to small details will be the way to set your costume apart from all the others- such as his white face paint extends to the jaw bone, but not really down the neck while it covers his ears.

As far as it being hypo-allergenic, basically anything you put in an all over cover to your face will irritate the skin and pores, so just be sure to wash well after you've finished.

Here are some I've found using a search engine on Spirit's website:

  3. Well, you can always go to a party store or halloween store in your local area and if it was hypo- allergenic it would say it on the box or package. Hope this helps:)  :)
