Face Swelling After Taking Monistat??

My wife took this becuase of a yeast infection, she just left for the ER... becuase its one of the side effects where you should seek medical help asap. What can I expect them to do? Im sure shes having an allergic reaction to the monistat.

It definitely sounds like she had an allergic reaction to the Monistat.

The doctors in the ER may give her some Benadryl or even Prednisone to help reduce the swelling in her face.  Then depending on if they run other tests like x-rays of her cheek (an example only but sometimes other problems like a problem with the jaw can cause the face to swell especially on one side depending on what is causing the jaw problem) they may give her a prescription to help with pain she may be feeling and then tell her to follow up with her primary care physician within the next few days.
