  1. Yeah, well, thats pretty new stuff you are talking about now! So new, that not so many peoples can answer this!

But it could be interesting to make a work on the subject in an anthropology class! Your teacher could be overwhelmed!!

    Good luck!

  2. Go for it!  It sounds like an interesting arena of cultural anthropology to strike fresh ground in.  You could do a Myspace culture as well while you are at it, or combine the two into one study.  As for your question on "How"?  I think that a study like this would require a lot of interviews and questionnaires and these should probably be done with facebook/Myspace users face to face.  I don't think that you would want to do them over the internet because a lot of the information that you received would be liable to be flawed because of the anonymity that the internet would provide them.  You can see this whenever you meet people that you meet through such websites.  They tend to build themselves up online and I think that because they have already created their "online persona" it might continue on into the interview and taint your results if they were allowed to remain anonymous to the questioner.  Anyways if you think of a good methodology and/or questions for such a study then float it by us and I'm sure that a lot of people here will pipe in with their two cents!

PS, I have never heard of any previous studies on this group of people.
