why is no one joining my group on facebook?

Get your family or friends to join. advertise your group on someones wall on their profile lol

You have to give it time.  People usually don't just go searching for groups unless they're bored and then it's groups about things about which they are passionate, whether it be religion, politics, the environment, whatever.  Just invite your friends to join, tell them to invite their friends.  And let give it time while the word of mouth spreads.
