  1. Proactive. it really works!:)

  2. Get a good cleanser and use it once a day religiously.  You can get a toner, too, which helps remove excess dirt and cleanser.  Exfoliate two to three times a week after washing but before you tone and moisturize.

ALWAYS moisturize after you wash your face.  Look at the ingredients and make sure it DOES NOT contain mineral oil or petrolum.  A surprising majority of moisturizers have mineral oil or petrolum, which make the problem worse in the long run because they sit on the surface of the skin rather than soaking in and properly moisturizing.  An additional spot treatment is a good idea to zap specific blemishes.

Tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial and antiseptic, so it is great for oily skin that is prone to blemishes.  I know The Body Shop carries an extensive Tea Tree line.

  3. try a gentle cleanser, using too much saylic acid (what's found in acne treatments and some cleansers) can leave your skin dry and peeling. Try Noxcema cleanser with triclosan instead, it totally sanitizes your face lol. First rinse with warm water (to open up pores) and then put on the cleanser, massage for a minute, then rinse off with cold water (to close pores and reduce chance of acne).

  4. Exfoliate your face every week. Use St Ives Apricot Scrub. It will renew your skin by removing all the dead skin cells making it feel soft and fresh. And when you wash your face, don't go too hard and don't go up and down either, do it in circular motions and wash very gently with warm water instead of splashing it with ice cold water.

If you don't want to go out and buy stuff and prefer using homemade products, just make your own face scrub by mixing milk and sugar together. 1/4 cup brown sugar and 3 tbsp milk, form a paste and apply to face. If can also replace the milk with honey if you'd like.

You can also mash a tomato into pieces, put it on a paper towel to drain the juice and leave it on your blackheads every morning. After using it for a while, your blackheads will slowly disappear.

Moisturise your face daily and use sunscreen even when it is cloudy, there can still be radiation, and it can lead to skin cancer.

Avoid tanning beds. Tanning beds are as dangerous as tanning out in the sun. Use self tanners instead, they are completely safe.

    So its like this:

Monday - Saturday* Normal Face Wash And Tomatoes

    Sunday (night)* Face Scrub

    Its very simple. :)
