  1. There are many myths about how our DNA can help and/or hurt our chances of living longer lives.  Some people have the misconception that one can "strengthen" their DNA by living a "healthy" lifestyle; this is flat out incorrect.  One cannot strengthen their DNA without actually going inside of each cell that should need to be affected in a VERY precise and directed manner.  In otherwords, the only way one can affect their DNA is biochemically, or by direct physical manipulation.

When one is born, they are born with a set coding of DNA.  As the cells divided in our host dependent state-inside of our mothers' wombs-our DNA went through a series of recombinations; however, these were complimentary recombinations.  Our overall DNA was not damaged, because of the fact that our DNA copying proteins are vigilantly looking for mistakes, and can correct them.

DNA, in most of the cells in our bodies, does go through a standard, natural, mutative evolution.  Radiation, free radicals, and other carcinogenic chemicals, cause periodic damage to our DNA.  ALSO, those proteins I mentioned earlier, aren't perfect, as almost nothing is, they seem to let by about 1 mistake in over 100 billion replicated DNA units, or DNA basepairs.  There are also, the very rare, DNA problems of sections that might get deleted, portions that might be randomly inserted-this happens everytime you are infected with a cold or flu-which yes, does increase your and everyone else's chances of getting a type of cancer or some sort of genetic degenerative problem.

With all of that being said, I'm not very close to answering your question with certainty, because like someone else said, you can't determine the exact year in which you'll die based on your DNA.

I wish I could say more, but I'm out of here.  Just think about this, no one knows whether they are one DNA mistake away, or 200 DNA mistakes away from developing a cancerous cell type in your body or finally having a system of your biochem degenerate past the point of being functionally viable for you to continue your life :)  I hope that makes sense :) Take care!

  2. Your question cannot be answered. There are hundreds of variables besides DNA that affect length of life. The definition of a"healthy life" also varies. You will live between 40 and 80 years normaly. You may live as long as 120 years.

  3. It varies from person to person, but the average life is like 70 something.
