I think I have the correct answers if not please tell me what I did wrong. I used FOIL to check them.

1. 4^3 - 64 - Is A correct?

a 4(n-6)(y+4)²

b (y-4)(y² + 16y + 16)

c (y-8)(y² + 16y + 64)

2. 4n² - 36 - Is C correct?

a 4(n - 3)(h - 4)

b (4n - 6)(h - 4)

c. 4(n-6)(n+6)

3. 4h² + 8h - 96 Is B correct?

a (4h - 16)(h + 6)

b 4(h + 6)(h -4)

c (2h - 8)(2h + 12)

4. 27x^3 + 8y^3 - is A correct?

a (3x + 2y)(9x² - 6xy + 4²)

b (27x + 8y)(729x² - 216xy +64y²)

c (3x + 2y)(3x - 2y)²

5. p^3 - 4yp² +4y²p - is A correct?

a (p - 2y)(p²- 2yp)

b p^3 - 4yp(y-p)

c 9(p-2y)²

6. 16y^4 - w^4 - is B correct

a (2y - w)(4y² + 2yw + w²)

b (4y² - w²)(4y² + w²)

c (4y² + w²)(2y - w)(2y + w)

  1. 1. This is not the correct expression you typed for the problem.  Nor are the answer choices properly typed.  You have n's and y's and no variables in the wrong places.

    2. None of the answers are correct.  You can prove this by multiplying them out.  You are also mixing n's and h's.

    3.  You are correct.

    4.  Yes.  This is factored as the sum of two cubes.

    5.  None of the choices is correct.  a  is not factored completely.

    6.  You are not correct.  The correct answer is c.  The expression is the difference of two squares.  Then, one of the factors will be the difference of two squares. Try it again.  Look at the first factor in answer b.
