    You can get rid of the brackets by changing all the signs in the second bracket. Anything that was positive becomes negative and anything that was negative becomes positive.

    2)

    Add all like terms.

    x^2 and  -3x^2 can be added together to make -2x^2

    -3x and  5x can be added to make 2x

    2 and 1 can be added  to make 3

    The equation is now

    -2x^2+2x+3

    3)

    Find two numbers that equal 2 when they are added and equal -6 when they are multiplied.

    4) Put these two numbers in place of your middle factor.

    5) Factor by grouping.
