  1. x^(3/4) + [5x^(3/4)/x] =

factor out the common term x^(3/4), yielding:

    x^(3/4) [1 + (5/x)] =

    x^(3/4) [(x + 5)/x] =

    then simplfy it into:

    x^(3/4) x^(-1) (x + 5) =

    {x^[(3/4) -1]} (x + 5) =

    [x^(-1/4)] (x + 5)

    that is completely factored

    I hope it helps...

    Bye!
