Use either for solving: q+2=2 sqrt.(4q-7)

  1. square both sides

    (q + 2)^2 = 4(4q - 7)

    q^2 + 4q + 4 = 16q - 28

    q^2 - 12q + 32 = 0

    (q - 8)(q - 4) = 0

    q = 8, 4
