  1. you need to write letters to the editor of your local paper for them to print..

basically if you want to end these practices you need to stop supporting them - have your own garden, your own free range hens etc..

have only 1 kid and so on...

  2. As someone who bothered to answer your question with a carefully thought-through response I find it hard to believe that you did not bother to read the answers. I can summarize them for you - an overwhelming majority said your question was childish and  your ideas were unrealistic. No matter who you send your letter to you can expect the same response there. And no matter how many times you post this same question you will always get people who disagree with you.

  3. Sorry, I couldn't get your website, but here are some suggestions.

Send it to the Head of the Department of Agriculture of the US. Gov.

Send it as a letter to the editor.

Send it to your Representative and your Senator.

Look around your local newstand and buy some papers from other cities and send your letter to them as well.

  4. Yup...I 100% agree with John!

I'm one of those who typed a long answer too...one of the ones I'm sure she didn't like

I want her to answer HOW she expects this over-populated world to be fed, WITHOUT factory farming?

Remember so of us actually ARE farmers out in the 'trenches" and actually know what it takes to feed America, and the WORLD!!

I'm a small permaculture farmer, who raises my livestock with great kindness, gentleness, and in every way natural that is possible.  I'm on of the very small minority of farmers, farming with the picture perfect pastorial life for my livestock.

Yet I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the way I farm will not feed masses of people.

Besides Maddie....any idea what would happen to the economy if factory farming actually halted?  The Great Depression doesn't even begin to cover it.

As I stated before Maddie....spend your time and effort helping to actually support small farmers (like myself) who raise livestock humanely.  Teach people about true organics (not industrial organics), and about supporting farmers markets.

That's how YOU can truely make a difference.  You will not stop factory farming.

This might shock you too Maddie...I'm against factory farming.  However I'm smart enough to realize I'm not going to change it, and it is needed to feed the masses.

Instead I put my money, time, effort and ENTIRE LIFESTYLE into actually making a difference.  Instead of writting letters that will be ignored, or complaining, I live and work on a permaculture farm.

The way my husband and I live our lives makes a real and true differnce to the livestock we own, and to the environment.

Until you live a lifestyle in league with mine, Maddie, you have no right, nor reason to complain about something you truely do not understand.

Want to make a difference?  Buy from small farmers.  Want to make an even bigger difference?  Become a small farmer yourself.

Hey John...want do you want to bet she deletes this question too?

  5. Maddie K, You had several really good answers to your question before.  I wish you had taken them to heart. "Went away for awhile and didn't get to read them?"  Who do you think that you can get anyone to buy that line? The answers would be right there on your home page and in resolved questions section as well.  They are not there so you deleted the question because you didn't like the answers that you received.  That is allowed, but don't try to pass it off as something else.  Just keep asking your question until you get the answers that you want.
