  1. Take 94 North to Gurnee and hit the Gurnee Mall.  Park in the middle of the mall as it used to be a "S" shape.

  2. Going to Gurnee Mills or Aurora with only a couple of hours isn't going to work. You will spend most of the time getting there and back.

Last time I went to Gurnee Mills for outlet shopping I didn't think it was worth the hassel and time to get there.

  3. Unfortunately most of the factory outlets are in the burbs. I'm not aware of any that you can easily get to via public transportation, especially if you don't have a lot of time.

  4. take I 88 to the outlet mall in Aurora IL. It has every outlet store under the sun. The exit is Farnsworth

  5. Try the outlet mall in Aurora

  6. 1650 Premium Outlets Boulevard is the address of the outlet mall in Aurora. Check the following site for stores and other info:

Aurora is serviced by METRA from Union Station. I know you can get there but can't get any real info about bus services.  It is a major mall so it has to be on a route.

Call the RTA for transportation info. and exact route from where you are located..836-7000.  Any local area code should work.

Gurnee Mills is closer to Deerfield but has fewer outlet stores.  Transportation may be easier and you will be a lot closer to your final destination.  Go to the following site for a route, schedule and fare.  Enter your starting point address or select a nearby attraction from the pulldown menu.  Your destination is on the pulldown menu...GURNEE MILLS.  After that, Go back to find a route from Gurnee Mills to your final destination...you have to insert the address:

Check out the Gurnee Mills site for a list of 200 stores:

  7. There's a couple outlet malls around Chicago. I think your probably talking about the ones in Aurora with most of the stores you mentioned. You could take the metra to Aurora and have a $5 or $10 cab ride to the mall. They have some good stores, sometimes you find great deals, sometimes stuff isn't that much cheaper. That's the closest and easiest to get to outlet mall but public transportation in the suburbs is nonexistant so when you get to aurora  youll have to take a cab

  8. If you're going to actually be IN Chicago, there are no factory outlet malls in the city. The closest to factory outlet in the city would be a story like Marshalls, TJ Maxx or Filene's Basement. There is a TJ Maxx and a Filene's basement on State street in downtown Chicago.
