Faded Line on Pregnancy test....?

Question

I dont know exactly wut it means to get a faded line... I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was if there are 2 lines u r pregnant well the line that showed if I was pregnant or not was faded... wut does that mean... Is it possible the test was just messed up...

it doesn't matter how faint the line is. if there's two, you're pregnant. Congrats!

Its not possible to get a false positive. A positive is a positive, no matter how faint or strong the line looks. You should go to your Dr, who will tell you for sure :)

Even if the line is faded, a faint positive is still a positive.

As long as you read it before the 10 minutes were up and the two lines were there then you are pregnant.

A faded line still means positive. It just means it didn't have enough dye or whatever to color it. If there were 2 lines, faint or not, you're pregnant.

yes I think your definatly pregnant. I am 18 wks now, when I did my prgnancy test at about 8 wks the line was very faded, it hardly looked as if it was there. I think it depends on how strong the pregnancy hormone is which peaks at around 10 wks.

Yeah my line was faded also but I am pregnant. Most test might show false negatives but not false positives. Congrats!

No matter how faint the line, if it is there you are pregnant.  Pregnancy tests detect the hcg hormone in your urine, and the only way for that hormone to be there is if you are pregnant.  The line may be faint because you are early into it, or you haven't produced a lot of hcg yet.  Try testing again with first morning urine, since the amount doubles every day or two, the line should get darker with time.  congrats and good luck!

No, your pregnant.  I have had 4 kids with 1 on the way, all of my tests but 1 came back with the second line very faded, it is still a positive.

An HPT tells you exactly one thing: your urine either has detectable pregnancy hormone in it, or it doesn't. The darkness or lightness of a line doesn't mean much. Generally speaking, a very light line can mean there is a small amount of hCG in your urine, and a very dark line can mean there is a larger amount of hCG in your urine. This is why you may get a faint positive at 10 DPO but a darker positive at 18 DPO. However, this is not always true. Tests are all different, and even tests in the same box may differ in sensitivity. Comparing light/dark lines will just drive you nuts. If you see a line in the "results" window, you're preg!

My second line was faded to, and I was definately pregnant. If you have two lines, you are pregnant! Take another test to make sure.
