Du Plessis, the 28-year-old right-handed batsman, earned the Test call-up on the back of an impressive 2011-12 First-class season, during which he compiled 599 in four games, including three centuries.

“We have been delighted with Faf's international and domestic progress over the years,” said the CSA convener of selectors during a media encounter ahead of the Headingley bout.
“It has been fantastic to see how he has improved in all three formats and how he has moulded himself into a versatile cricketer that can slot into any position in the batting order. We feel that he will give us extra options as the reserve player," he added further.

The rookie all-rounder is also due to lead South Africa A in a full-fledged series against Ireland, beginning next Monday. Earlier, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JA-Morkel-c1613 was sidelined by an ankle injury for almost 10 days.
