  1. You will get the maximum Pell grant, a $3500 subsidized loan and work-study. That however, is just the start of paying for most colleges. After that, it's about what grants colleges will give you and it's totally individual.

The colleges that meet 100% of need are where you want to look. Most colleges do not meet need and the ones that do tend to be the top colleges, and thus the hardest to get into.

Research well so you understand where you can afford to consider based on your grades and SAT scores. Good luck!

  2. You will NOT get the maxamum Pell grant... you only get that if your EFC were zero.  But you will get quite a bit.  The max is 4,731 for the full year. Also the minimum Stafford loan amount went up to 5,500 a year if you are a freshman so you prob will get that as well.  Be aware some forms of "finanical aid" such as loans including Stafford and Perkins loans DO have to be paid back.

Note: The University of Phoenix is VERY expenseive.  It could be cheaper for you to go to Harvard... so prepaire to take out TONS of student loans.  If you were to choose a different school.... you would prob attend there, have ALL your tuition, books and fees totally paid for AND get money left over WITHOUT have to take out a single loan.... think about that before you sign those loan papers to UoP.

    Good luck.
