Fafsa EFC?????????????

My fafsa has been processed.. when i checked it the EFC said 0000*.. what does that mean??? Ami getting money???

  1. The asterisk * means you have been selected for verification.  Meaning you have to turn in certain supporting documents to prove the info is correct on your fafsa.  Not always, but sometimes you are selected for verification for inconsistent data you gave them.  So don't count on a full Pell grant yet.  IF the info you put on the fafsa was correct, you'll be fine,  if not... your EFC may change.


  2. you need to provide documentation to support what you said when you applied for finanical aid. Documents include your tax information, ect.

    Your efc doesn't mean you will get the full amount like another poster said. Its a number the dept of education gives people based off the info they provide. Your school then takes the cost of attendance and subtracts it from your efc and based off that is how your aid is determined.

  3. If your EFC is 0 it means you are eligible to recieve the full pell grant which is 4731
