In 2007 I made only made in 2007 8848 and some from ssi i said 7200 becuase i thought it was 600 and 12 mo of it but i dont know. I only got back like 800 somehting from the gov. What should I do? Should I refile or fix it with new info if yes what info? I need help! I got back my EFC it said 3060 what does that mean?? I dont understand what EFC is? 1. Your EFC is a code the school uses to determine what kinds and how much financial aid you will get.

If you are married you should list you and your wife's income information on the fafsa form even if you did not file together in 2007 and even if you were not married in 2007.    Her 2007 income and ssi should be listed along with yours on the fafsa.

A Pell grant is free money that the government gives out to people who want to go to college.

I would suggest you take all your income information (taxes, ssi info, w2's, for BOTH you and your wife) to your colleges financial aid office and have them walk you through it so you know your information is entered correctly.

  2. you should ask the financial counselor i dont understand why your efc is that high i made more then you last year and mine is 0 which entitles me to the full amount of the pell grant and all other financial aid,do you have any kids?, if not then maybe thats why your efc is not 0 i have 3 kids and married so maybe thats why, the efc is earned family contribution, if i were you i would just call the school and have someone help you fill it out because if you have any errors on it it could make you be denied fafsa good luck
