  1. This is straight off of the FAFSA site (I was looking at it just 5 minutes ago, what a coincidence!):

I submitted an application over two weeks ago, but I get the “Application Not Found” page when I check the status online. What should I do?

        * For electronic applications, be sure that the Social Security Number and first two letters of your last name that you are entering match what is shown on the confirmation page you printed. If you do not have a confirmation page, contact Customer Service.

        * If you submitted a paper FAFSA, the status of your application should display online within 7-10 days from the date the application was mailed. Contact Customer Service for assistance.

Usually, if you added your e-mail addy, Fafsa will send you your results/SAR to it.

  2. Be sure you are checking the correct year when you go to the website.  Currently there are two academic years listed on the website... you are prob looking at the wrong one.  I'd check both.  Also, some folks don't read the instructions carefully and fill out the wrong application.  Again, check both.

Also, did you sign it using your pin or by using the printed signature page?

I've had them get "lost" because the person used the incorrect social security number.  If this occurred, you would have to do a new application.  If all else fails, call them at 1-800-4FEDAID and see if they can find it.
