  1. You need to get together with your parents and have them fill it out.

  2. 1.  ("Will you be working on a masters or doctorate?"  You should put NO unless you have already been to college for 4 years and already have a degree.

    2.  "Do you have dependents other than a child or spouse?"  Are you responsible for other people?  Like do you have other people you support like a foster children?  If not, then no.  (It is not asking if your parents support, but YOU support that other person).

    3. You will have to look at a copy of their tax return to determine which one they filed.  The form name is in the top left corner of the tax return.  If they filed a tax return, they should have kept a copy.  Its the law... they have to keep tax records for 7 years.

With the W2 forms, you can answer some questions like, "How much did your father earn from working?"  this info is taken off the W2.  But you can't get the tax info or exemptions from the W2.

  3. Pretty self explanatory.

When you start school in Aug or Sept, are you going to already have a 4 year degree and be moving on to your graduate degree?

Do you have kids or people who depend on at least 50% of their living expenses from you?

This is what tax for your dad filed, you will have to ask him.

  4. If your under 24 you have to have your parents information to file for fasfa unless your married. There is no way around this because your parents are still financially responisble for you untill then. All you need is your dad's tax form that he filled out. Have him sit with you to fill it you or you can always message me on here and I can help, my 3ed year of filling it out :D Good luck in school and get some help from your dad or get the form and go into your college Financial Aid office and they can help you as well.
