I check my fafsa and it said status process on 4/17

Its already My 19 and I check on my college website on my account under fnances and it shows that for year 2008-2009 No financial aid awards available.

How long does it take for your award to get to the school?

  1. depends on the school. if you received your SARS report then they should be working on your award statement.

I did my early April, and have not received any letters, but I talked with my financial aide officer and she said they have it and are working on getting it sent out.

So I say talk to the financial aide dept. at your school!

  2. You should address this issue with your FAO to make sure there were no errors on the fafsa, that you weren't selected for verification, and that they have received your ISIR. Make sure you have built a schedule for the academic year

    Good Luck

  3. I don't remember exactly how long, but it does take some time because the school has to figure out your EFC and all that other good stuff to see how much you are eligible for.

  4. It should only take a maximum of two weeks, they get it electronically.  They probably have your EFC score (the results of your FAFSA), but have not processes what you'll be receiving.  You should call them and ask them what is up.  A month is way too long to wait for that.

  5. Well, You have to register for your classes in order for them to determine what they're gonna give you.

  6. In my experience, it can take over a month for your school to apply you financial aid award after the government has processed the FAFSA. It can take even longer if you need to provide proof of residence in your state or proof of citizenship if you're a naturalized citizen. You could go to your financial aid office just to verify if they require anything else from you.
