  1. 1 deg C = 1deg F *5/9

    1deg F = 32+9/5*C

    Kelvin (K) = C +273.16

    Rankine (R) = F + 459.69

    32 degs F (freezing) = 0 deg C

    212 degs F(boiling pt) = 100 deg C

Most engineering equations require absolute temps K and R

  2. Actually only Celsius and Kelvin are used in the scientific community.
