Fail!!! omg!?

i go to high school im 17 but they told me i failed the math and reading fcat and that if i dont go i might fail the whole year? but i had an emargency so im in new york right now do you guys think if i tell them i had an emergency they will fail me?

Possibly not.  Get ahold of the pricipal and explain your situation.  They may work something out with you.

I would call the school asap and ask them for an extension so you can get all the work done needed to pass the class.  I am sure if you tell them there was an emergency they will understand.

As far as I can tell you can contact your principal/person in charge of the exam and explain the circumstances to them. Get anyone you can to write to them explaining why you could not take the exam and hopefully they will allow you to resit it at a later date, basically you have nothing to lose by explaining to  them your situation. What does having an emergency have to do with the fact that you're not doing well with math and reading?

If you can do these things and pass their tests, you pass.  If not, you fail.  It's just that simple.

They're not going to let you pass a grade just because of an emergency NOW.  You still failed the subjects, you still need to repeat them.

If it's a proper emergency like something to do with family then they will understand but make sure ur parents explain to back you up!

No.. I failed the reading (went to sleep during test woke up after it was over) and I still advanced. They allow you to take it 4 more times before you graduate (twice in 11th and twice in 12th). If you can't pass it by then they make you take summer school for reading and re-test. If you re-test and fail. I think they give you the option of a GED because they cannot award a diploma to anyone who had failed.

You might want to explain to every one else what the FCAT is.

Those of you reading, in Florida we have to take and advancement test in 3rd and 5th grade for reading,math and science. If you fail you cannot go to the next level, no matter what your grades look like. In high school you need to take it again in oder to graduate. If you fail you are give a total of 5 times before you can only recive a GED.
