  1. your far sided. you cant see close. look at a book really closely and see if its blury

  2. It sounds like you are nearsighted or have astigmatism if you have 20/50 vision.  It means that you can an object at 20 ft when a person with normal vision can see it at 50 ft.  I have 20/20 in my right eye and 20/50 in my left eye due to astigmatism.  Most states require 20/40 or better vision in one eye in order to drive.

You could get blue contacts even if you did not require any visual correction.  If you feel the test is not correct, then you should get tested again to make sure it is correct.

  3. wen i was 10 i failed my eye test with about 20/80 vision and i thought i saw normal 2 cuz u just get used 2 seeing badly and the first number is the distance u wer away from the eye exam chart wer u read the numbers and a person wit normal vision has 20/20 vision the second number means u see 20 feet away wat a person wit normal vision sees in ur case 50 feet away i hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. being the first experience of failure, see an eye specialist for your retinal involvement for your lower  value of vision, then you can decide of contacts, if every thing is OK ......

  5. You are almost certainly going to be surprised when you find out how much you *could* be seeing.  it;s very likely you hust need simple glasses of no extreme strength., though there's the outside possiblity of more serious problems.

    Go and have an exam.

One quick check on whether you need glasses.

Make a small (imm ) hole in a piece of paper or thin card.

Compare your vision against some distant lettering (road-sign, bill board) with and without the pinhole held close to the eye .

If there's a noticeable difference, you almost certainly would find glasses useful, at least some of the time.
