Question:

Failed the road test?

I just came back from the taking my road test...and failed. I took it in Staten Island by the way. I know that you need to wait a month before you take it again, should I go to the same place since I know the area because of the road test? But the problem is I'm leaving for college to Long Island on Sunday and I don't know if I'll have any time to practice. Advice, please!

Thanks.

  1. isn't Long Island practically a suburb of Staten Island, right over the Queen borderline.

You should not take your test in the city; it's about ten times harder than LI. Also practice your parallel parking, which is probably one of the most important and useful thing you will need in parking around the city.

  2. in australia they often change the route and the situations particularly if you have already failed one so i don't see that it will make a great difference.    in the meantime know where you went wrong and practice it because they are sure to use the same scenario just in a different spot.     good luck and don't get upset about the failure it happens to many and you are not the first and will certainly not be the last and only.

  3. just retake the test in 6 months

  4. I'm sure your college has Fall Break and Thanksgiving Break.  Those are two opportunities to re-take the test.  If not, wait until the end of the semester to take the test.

It won't matter if you take it at the same place, they will have had hundreds of people take the test since then.  I doubt they would remember you.  Plus it is on your records anyway so where ever you go, they will see you failed  once already.
