  1. It goes both ways, constantly through BUD/S, instructors are going to be egging you on to DOR and quit. If you physically/mentally can't take it anymore, you can stop at any time and request to DOR. If you fail too many evolutions or academic tests, you will be singled out and have to appear before a review board. They will decide whether or not you're putting out and deserve to be there, or if you should be rolled to a later class or be performance dropped from the program.

  2. It is your choice to quit. However, if you can't meet standards they can roll you back to a later class or separate you from the BUD/S program.

  3. It is your choice to quit..

  4. you choose to ring the bell but they can drop you back

  5. It is ALWAYS your choice, the instructors are there to encourage you to quit if they think you look shaky, reason is that they do not want someone who is going to go half way. In the end though, it is still up to you and that is what they want to test, if YOU have the stomach to stay on and suck it up and not quit no matter how bad it gets. The biggest reasons for failure are quitting, followed by medical drops then performance failures (testing and physical standards failures).

  6. All up to you to quit..you volunteered to be there and you can always volunteer to leave.

  7. If you volunteer to quit or DOR drop on request, they make you ring the bell.

But the instructors can also performance drop you from bud/s

If they do that, you are just gone, you do not ring the bell.
