I didn't stop at a pedestrian crossing in front of a high school while an officer was directing traffic and told me to stop.

I got a yellow sheet of paper with "i bond" checked off on it with the full amount of $75. And he said i would get a court date in the mail. What exactly is my case and what would i have to do? Whats the worst possible punishment that I can be given? Thanks.

  1. actually i think this is a non moving violation.  its better then a speeding ticket.  i believe the court ate is if you are going to fight this ticket.  for 75 $ your better off just paying the ticket and thats the only punishment.  there should be a box next tot he court date thats says if its manditory, if its not checked just pay the fine.  Also a few days after your get the ticket call the municlpe court to confirm that you dont need to go to court.  and dont fight it, its a no points ticket and u will have to pay a 32$ court fee if you fight it anyways plus waste a few hours of your day,.

  2. you should always obey an officer. he could took u to jail for that!  U must be young. must they will do is make u pay the $75 but be careful

  3. Where was it? Laws and punishment for breaking them vary from one jurisdiction to another. Sort of sounds like you're up for a $75 fine though.

  4. Here in Kansas they are very srict about school zone violations.  Just pay yhe $75.

  5. Some state judges has no time for this when it comes to pedestrian disregard or failure to obey a police officer and you could get your license suspended.
