Faint positive line?

Hi I did a pregnancy test tonight and a very faint pale line appeared for positive. I rushed to the pharmacy and brought another test and it was negative. should i test with morning urine when i wake up?

yes. first morning urine more concentrated, yet more accurate.

it just means the second test would have been weakend probably by fluids taken.dont have a drink later that 6pm then do the test first thing in the morning then that will be the most concentrated.the only reasons for a poss when not pregnant is(as quoted on the preg test ive got)in hcg tests a number of conditions which include trophoblastic disease and certain non-trophoblastic neoplasms including some forms of cancer can cause a positive test,but is very rare and the most likely cause would be the weak concentation of urine..i have a weak test EVERY time i do a test until im about 6 wks.every women is different.it sounds like early pregnancy in my opinion

I suspect that you are pregnant and that the first test used the most concentrated of your urine (which, considering that it was evening, was already pretty diluted!) If you've bought another test, use it first thing in the morning. If not, you can pee the FMU into a little cup and put it in the fridge and then go and buy a test. It will be fine for 12 hours but .... here's the important bit.... be sure to LABEL THE CUP :)

always use first morning urine huni, it is most concentrated then.

Use the morning urine, wen i tested for my lil girl it was a very very faint line so fingers crossed you are pregnent....goodluck!!!

yes test with first morning urin, but use a digital test because if u got a faint line already then a big fat PREGNANT would show up on the digi.  GOOD LUCK and keep us updated!

Yes, definitely test again first thing in the morning.  With my first daughter there was a very faint positive and I was in fact pregnant.

Good luck, and try to get some sleep tonight!  I know how hard it is to sleep when you're excited or stressed about taking a pregnancy test in the morning!

Test again tomorrow morning and you should get a dark enough line in the test window to know for sure if it is positive.  Good luck!  :)

I would test again just to be sure but this has unfortunatley happend to me once before and it was infact negative. Good luck to you!

It sounds like you are pregnant!!! Try another test first thing in the morning and see what happens. Good luck (and congratulations!)

hey!!! what brand pregnancy test was it and how long did it take the line to appear?? also with the second test you did was it the same brand?? heres what happened to me

fortel ultra= do not use!! they gave me 2 out of 3 positives when i wasnt pregnant!! on more then one occasion...very dissapointing!!

i used a first response preg test(in the middle of the day) and got a super faint second line!! my partner could barely see it but agreed that he could see a shadow....i raced down the street and bought assurance plus....did them the next day(first morning urine)....both very negitive!!i was heart broken...couldnt except that i had once again bought a dodgy test so went and bought another first response and did it in the middle of the day....another second line! a tiny bit darker but still very faint.....anyway cut a long story short(and it is long lol cause i did 7 first response tests lol) im now 16 weeks pregnant  yay!! so i say just wait cause getting that one faint line means something!!!

Yes, morning urine is the best. It is very rare to get a false positive even if it is faint so I think your chances of being pregnant are very high. Try again tomorrow morning.
