France did deserve to win, but more so through Ireland being very poor.

I was very disappointed with Ireland, they offered nothing at all on attack.

One of the biggest disappointments with the game was the ref! Ibanez got penalised for resting his foot on an Ireland player who was lying on the wrong side of a ruck! The refs are turning rugby into a joke with the strictness of rucking these days. Also what is with Michalak trying to milk penalties!! He was barely touched and all of a sudden he is flat on his back, don't turn this game into the theatrical nonsense that has destroyed soccer please.

Yes France deserved to win, but both team were dire!

Ireland are past their used by date, the French just did enough to win, but were unconvincing in the way that they played.

As for the Ref, pedantic and pathetic are the only 2 words to

describe his performance today..

I think that France is not a great team and would be eaten against New Zeland or Australia...

We had won, because Ireland knows a difficult period.

It was not Ireland of the last months...

And Ireland collapsed in the second half-time while it would have been able to score.

I agree, WTF is happening to Ireland, they are playing cr@p at the moment!

I am shocked by their lack of passion, control, direction.........well, their play in general!

They controlled it because Ireland were so poor. But they failed to score a bonus point where Australia, New Zealand and South Africa would have managed in half the time, and which they really neede if they wanted to avoid playing tha All Blacks in the quarters. I'm afraid the French will be crushed by you guys in two weeks time. At least, it will save us from risking being humiliated in the final like in 1991.

Northern hemisphere rugby is very poor at the moment, epitomized by England who don't seem to have recover from their fantastic win four years ago. After all, France is the only team in a group devoid of the big three, and they are still going to manage not to finish first. I think I'll go and sleep for a few years, and hope things are better when I wake up.

Ireland managed to defend well in first half but collapsed in the second one.

I understand why they have lost: their emblem is a 3-leaf clover!! the lucky one is the 4-leaf clover!! they should have thought of that long ago!

Yes ,France beat Ireland, Because Ireland played worse than France did.

Aussie, NZ  and  South Africa, all , would have put 30 points on either of those teams.I lost count of the pointless,negative waste of ball with all the kicking .

Northern Hemesphere Rugby is reminiscent of the 1960s style of game .

Refereeing was c**p too.

A total crush to the clearly weaker team. Ireland have not played at all well this tournament.
